Today I was reminded of something that was told to me a few months after my injury. It still resonates with me today.
I had seen a psychologist who advised me that I should go with the choices that frighten me the most because those are the choices that will make me grow as an individual.
Given that at the time of my recovery I was still very fragile- every choice I would have made removed me from my comfort zone: training, speaking and even walking in public with my crutches.
Looking back at the years gone by – I’m glad I went with the hard choices because, however difficult life may seem, there’s always something you can do and succeed at. Just never give up.
